As a guest speaker at Denison University's Entrepreneurial Endeavors conference, I found myself in the midst of enquiring minds and youthful spirits. For more information on their Burton D. Morgan Program in Liberal Arts Entrepreneurship Education, you can visit www.denison.edu. My two hour presentation included intention-setting, breathing and gratitude exercises, clips of me & CosmiKids from Deepak Chopra's Seven Spiritual Laws of Success movie, practical tools for a purpose-based business owner and a short video ride through our corporate structure and offerings. I was able to spend social time with both students and faculty which was really gratifying. Their varied questions ranged from topics about integrity, to holding to one’s vision and even raising money in turbulent economic times. Of the nine other alumni presenting, some of the speakers included Miles Munz ’02 Founder and CEO of InterviewStream.com, David Evanson ’82, a financial writer who consults to financial services organizations on media relations and Rob Cathcart ’79, a 26-year veteran of advertising and marketing communications. I’ve been invited back to present at their summer session on Social Entrepreneurism and I look forward to meeting, greeting, presenting and learning from my fellow Denisonians.

AGAPE INTERNATIONAL SPIRITUAL CENTER

Posted on January 18th, 2009 by Judy Julin

As guest presenters at Agape (www.agapelive.com) International Spiritual Centers’ Winter Youth Program Open House, Sandie Sedgbeer and I were delighted to promote our upcoming CosmiKids, Inspired Parenting and Angel Bear Yoga programs to be held this March at Agape. We presented to an enthusiastic audience of family members and Agape staff. Agape continues to position itself at the cutting edge of new thought programming and transformational events. At their recent open house, they showcased their 2009 winter youth programs of the heart-centered kind for their 9,000 local members and 1,000,000 worldwide spiritual community. Agape is a trans-denominational spiritual community whose doors are open to all seekers in search of authentic spirituality, personal transformation and selfless service to humankind. We forged soulful connections with Alexina Hazzard-McIver, who is a teacher-in-residence at the California Science Center and Director of Agape’s Academy of the future. Joining Alexina in the visioning process for Agape’s new school is UCLA’s Laurine Di Rocco. We are very pleased to align with them as they continue to build on their vision for a school based on their mission of “Drawing forth the Divine in Every Child.” We also met Georgia Bradley who does incredible process with Sandplay, Brain Gym and Emotional Freedom Tapping technique (you can read all about it in our most recent issue of Inspired Parenting magazine). After our presentation, Sandie met with former Elite International model and filmmaker Nicole Clark and spoke to her about her recent documentary, Cover Girl Culture, an examination of how the media shapes girl’s self image and self-esteem. During the Open House, we saw the trailer to her insightful film and Sandie invited her to be a guest on her Inspired Parenting radio show heard now in 98 countries via the World Puja network.
